Hansavedas Sambhala.
Custom learning platform for Himalayan meditation e-courses, built on WordPress with LearnDash, BuddyBoss and secure BunnyCDN video streaming.

The brief.
Hansavedas needed its own platform to teach Himalayan meditation and contemplative traditions online: paid and subscription-based courses, a community space for students, and long-form video lessons that could not be downloaded or shared outside the platform.
The plan covered around 100 hours of video at launch, for both individual learners and group enrollments, on infrastructure the nonprofit could keep running and grow on its own.
The approach.
I set up the whole stack on a Linode VPS: server, DNS, SSL, WordPress hardening, backups and monitoring. On top of it I configured LearnDash for courses and BuddyBoss for profiles, groups and the student dashboard, with Stripe and PayPal checkout and recurring subscriptions controlling access to each course.
For video I built a custom Elementor widget that embeds BunnyCDN Stream videos with signed, expiring tokens, so lessons play smoothly but direct links stop working outside the site. I then delivered the first complete course, "What Is Meditation?", from lesson structure to video and access rules. The visual identity and branding came from the client. After handoff, the team used the system to publish new courses on their own.
The video widget is now open source: github.com/gabrielmaafra/bunnycdn-elementor-widget.
